The Dyson Supersonic Nural is an intelligent hair dryer that builds on the iconic Supersonic with added smart sensor technology. This is Dyson's first connected hair dryer featuring a network of Nural sensors that automatically optimize your drying routine while protecting scalp health.
The device includes three intelligent features. Scalp protect mode uses a Time of Flight sensor to measure the distance between the dryer and your head. It automatically adjusts temperature to maintain an optimal 130°F at the scalp to prevent overheating and protect your scalp's moisture levels. Attachment learning uses a Hall sensor to recognize each magnetic attachment as you use it and automatically adjusts to your preferred heat and airflow settings. Pause detect uses an accelerometer to sense when you put the dryer down and automatically deactivates the heater while decreasing airflow to save energy.
The Supersonic Nural comes with five intelligent attachments. The Wave+Curl diffuser features two modes where Dome mode draws air into the dome to enhance natural waves or curls for a defined finish while Diffuse mode gently disperses airflow through longer prongs for voluminous curls and coils. The Flyaway attachment uses Coanda airflow to lift longer hairs and hide flyaways for a smooth shiny finish. The Styling concentrator creates a wider thinner blade of air for precision styling. The Gentle air attachment provides fast yet gentle airflow for comfortable close-up drying. The Wide-tooth comb detangles shapes and lengthens curly or coily hair.
The powerful Dyson Hyperdymium motor combined with Air Multiplier technology creates a high-velocity jet of controlled air for fast drying. Intelligent heat control measures air temperature 40 times per second to prevent extreme heat damage and protect natural shine. The device features three airflow speeds, four heat settings and a cold shot button. An LCD screen and color-changing capsule display your current settings while the clear end cap lets you see the technology at work.
