Returns And Refunds

Article 1. Return Period

Products can be returned within 30 days of delivery date. Return period calculated from tracking confirmation. In-store purchases calculated from receipt date. Extended holiday return period from November 1 through January 31.

Article 2. Return Conditions

Items must be unused and in original condition. Products must include original packaging with all protective materials intact. All accessories, attachments and documentation must be complete. Serial number must match purchase records. Opened or used products may be subject to inspection.

Article 3. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Products with missing or damaged serial numbers
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance
  • Gift cards and promotional codes
  • Refurbished products sold as-is
  • Products damaged by customer misuse
  • Items purchased from unauthorized retailers

Article 4. Return Methods

Returns accepted via:

  • Drop-off at Dyson Demo Stores
  • Scheduled pickup for large items
  • Authorized retail partner locations
  • Service center return

Article 5. Return Shipping

Return shipping label provided for all US returns. Customer prints label from MyDyson account or email. Original shipping fees non-refundable unless product defective. Label valid for 30 days from issue date. Package must be properly secured for safe return transport.

Article 6. Refund Processing

Refunds issued within 5-10 business days after return receipt and inspection. Refund to original payment method only. Credit card refunds take 3-7 business days to appear on statement. PayPal refunds processed within 24-48 hours. Store credit issued for returns without valid proof of purchase.

Article 7. Exchange Policy

Exchanges available for same product in different color or condition. Exchange processed as return and new purchase. Price differences charged or refunded accordingly. Exchanges subject to product availability. Contact customer service to arrange exchange.

Article 8. Defective Products

Defective items replaced or repaired at no cost to customer. Report defects within 48 hours of delivery for shipping damage. Contact support within 30 days for functionality issues. Photos and description required for defect assessment. Dyson covers all return shipping for confirmed defects.

Article 9. Wrong Item Received

Dyson corrects shipping errors at no charge to customer. Contact service within 7 days of delivery. Return label provided for incorrect item via email. Correct product shipped via express at no cost. Sincere apology and possible goodwill gesture for inconvenience.

Article 10. Gift Returns

Gifts returned without receipt receive store credit at current selling price. Gift receipt allows exchange or store credit to recipient. Original purchaser receives refund to original payment method with proof of purchase. Gift returns follow same condition requirements as standard returns.

Article 11. Warranty Returns

Products under warranty repaired or replaced at no cost. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and product registration. Defects from normal use fully covered under warranty terms. Damage from misuse or unauthorized repairs not covered. Warranty period clearly stated on documentation and website.

Article 12. Sale and Clearance Items

Sale items returnable within standard 30-day period. Items marked as final sale or clearance non-returnable. Promotional pricing does not affect return eligibility unless noted. Flash sale products follow regular return policy. Outlet purchases may have different terms.

Article 13. Partial Returns

Individual items from multi-product orders can be returned separately. Free shipping threshold recalculated on remaining items in order. Shipping charges apply if remaining order falls below minimum. Bonus gifts or promotional items must be returned with qualifying purchase.

Article 14. Return Authorization

Return authorization number required for all returns. Authorization obtained through MyDyson account or customer service. Returns without proper authorization may experience processing delays. Transit damage fully covered by Dyson shipping insurance. Report damage immediately upon delivery before signing. Keep all original packaging materials for carrier inspection. Photos required of box exterior, interior and product damage. Replacement shipped immediately after damage verification.

Article 17. Missing Components

Returns missing accessories or attachments may receive partial refund. Missing items valued at replacement cost and deducted. Customer notified before processing incomplete return. Option provided to send missing items or accept reduced refund. Complete returns always preferred for full refund.
